About Me
I am an award-winning health and science journalist with more than 20 years’ experience writing and editing for some of the most trusted brands in the world, including New Scientist, TIME Magazine and Nature.
Currently I am US Publisher for New Scientist, where I play a key role in developing audience growth strategies for North America. Prior to that, as US Editor, I set up New Scientist's first-ever New York bureau, building an editorial team that continues to produce rigorously reported science journalism for a rapidly growing US readership. Before moving to New York, I held several roles at New Scientist in London, including Head of Features and Opinion Editor.
In addition to my editorial leadership, I am an experienced news and features writer – and have earned recognition for my impactful reporting, including a Best Cancer Reporter Award from the European School of Oncology. I have an MS in Journalism from Northwestern University’s Medill School.
I’m currently available for consulting engagements.
